Open House Niacet Tiel – October 5, 2013

Saturday October 5th was the Dutch Day of Chemistry and Open House at Niacet b.v. At our site at the Papesteeg in Tiel (the Netherlands), we proudly hosted over 750 visitors, displaying the very best of our site and demonstrating to our community the essential role we fill in everyday life.  Our guests were impressed with the ability to see so much of the plant, to understand how our products are used, and to see the pride in every person wearing the royal blue Niacet jerseys.  There were even comments about the odors and noise that they no longer detect from the site.  These remarks are quite a complement to the commitment we bring to our jobs, to each other, and to our community.

Counted among the visitors were employees and family members, retirees, former employees, neighbors, Council members from Tiel, suppliers, job seekers, and others.  Some drove more than one and a half hours to attend.  A great turn out, and their responses assured us of an enjoyable visit.

Niacet is pleased to host this event in the spirit of being a good citizen and contributing to the well-being of the community.

We extend a special thanks to our employee volunteers, and to their family member volunteers, who worked the event – 63 in total. It is an incredible amount of work and, obviously, only possible with the many “hands-on-deck” to make it happen. We could not have done it without them.
