Niacet b.v. FSSC certified – May 21, 2015

On May 21st, 2015, the Niacet production site in Tiel, The Netherlands received its new quality certificate, the FSSC 22000 standard. This new standard will replace the AIB standard we previously complied to.

The AIB standard is mainly recognized and accepted by bakeries in North America (AIB = American Institute of Baking) and is less relevant for other food-producing industries. This made us decide to change the quality standard of our site in The Netherlands to the FSSC 22000 standard in line with the Food Safety standard used by our Niagara Falls, USA production site.

The FSSC 22000 standard (FSSC = Food Safety System Certification) is an ISO based standard and is GFSI recognized (GFSI = Global Food Safety Initiative). This means it is a globally recognized Food safety certificate similar to BRC and IFS.
