City of Tiel Officials visit Niacet Site – March 25, 2014
On March 25, 2014, City of Tiel officials, represented by three Aldermen, the General Manager, and three civil servants visited the Niacet plant.
They were welcomed by Managing Director Larry Montani and other employee representatives. After introductions, a presentation informed officials on site operations, the manufactured products and essential uses in food and pharmaceutical applications, and some of the many customers around the globe that count on Niacet. The 100 year history of the plant site, Niacet’s community commitment, its local economic impact, employee profile, and various questions were subject of a lively discussion.
Alderwoman van Rhee-Oud Ammerveld presented to Mr. Montani a lapel pin of the city’s mascot – “Flipje”, appointing him a Tiel Ambassador.
After donning the required safety gear, the group toured production and warehousing locations. Topics included safety, environmental, and quality measures used to meet high standards of performance. City Officials appreciated the hands-on opportunity to learn about site operations and to engage management in open discussion – a productive and informative visit for all.
