NIAPROOF Anionic Surfactant 08 has the following common applications:
Fountain Solutions - A unique ingredient in the formulation of offset printing fountain solutions.
Lye Washing and Lye Peeling of Fruits and Vegetables - Speeds the peeling of fruits while removing field soil and micro organisms.
Textile Processing / Bleaching - Stable in the presence of concentrated bleaching powder solutions.
Mercerizing - Promoted extremely rapid mercerization of grey cotton goods while withstanding the rigorous treatment encountered in concentrated mercerizing liquors.
Household & Industrial Cleaners / Wallpaper Penetrant - Used to eliminate much of the work involved in scrubbing or wallpaper removal.
Agricultural Uses - A coupling agent for inorganic salts used in produce washing solutions.
Metal Processing / Cleaning - Coupled with alkali, produces a surface cleaner that works more rapidly than alkali alone, providing a thoroughly clean surface suitable for plating or spraying.
Carpet Cleaning - NIAPROOF Anionic Surfactant 08 is used in carpet cleaners because it does not resoil carpets like lauryl sulfates do. It can be used at 10% in the concentrate, diluted 20 to 1.
Automotive - Used in the manufacture of whitewall tire cleaning.
Photography - Used in photo finishing processes.
High Mineral Acid Cleaners - Used to clean calcium and iron salts found in dairy production.
Electrolytic Cleaning - Decreases the surface tension of the electrolytic solution to allow for the release of the hydrogen byproduct.
Plating - Eliminates impurity pitting by dissolving without haze while decreasing the surface tension of the bath.
Pickling - Reduces the amount of acid required for pickling while decreasing pickling time and providing a more uniform pickling solution
Molding - Decreases mulling time and provides more uniform sized sand for use in casting molds and cores
Pharmaceuticals - Enhances bactericidal properties of antiseptics, rapid fixing of histological specimens and is important in the manufacture of penicillin for breaking undesired emulsions and enhancing activity.
